Alessandro Tontini was born in Mantova, Italy, in 1992. He received the B.Sc. In Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy in 2014. From March 2014 to July 2014 he did an internship at FBK working on his Bachelor thesis project for an FPGA-based true random number generator. From August 2015 to July 2016 he was in the Technical University of Denmark within the Erasmus+ project, focusing on FPGA-related courses. From October 2016 to March 2017 he did an internship at FBK, working within his Master Thesis project based on a FPGA-based Time-to-Digital Converter for TCSPC applications. He received the M.Sc. In Telecommunications Engineering (cum laude) from the University of Trento, in 2017. From May 2017 Alessandro started working with the IRIS research group as a research technologist focusing on the hardware simulation and characterization of image and radiation sensors designed by the group researchers.
